Getting around in Norderstedt – with the clever mobility leaflet “mobilfalter”

Just in time for the European Mobility Week, Norderstedt has compiled a new leaflet for all who are interested in sustainable mobility: the “mobilfalter”. This leaflet follows the motto “Clever routes through Norderstedt” and offers information on all environmentally friendly means of transport available in Norderstedt, making it even easier to navigate the city on foot, by bike, bus, train, taxi or hired vehicle. The leaflet also promotes an intelligent mix of several means of transport.

There is always an environmentally friendly transport option for your way to school, to work, to the shops or in your leisure time. The “mobilfalter” with its modern design shows you what you can do. This city map details the Norderstedt bus and train network as well as signposted cycling routes. In addition, it lists all bicycle hire and car sharing stations as well as the city’s taxi ranks. For better orientation, it also lists all bus stops and streets in an extra index and offers additional information on environmentally friendly transport.

The leaflet aims to promote environmentally friendly transport in Norderstedt and is a measure initiated by the office for reducing noise pollution. Folded up, the leaflet fits into everybody’s coat pocket. The “mobilfalter” leaflet is available free of charge: from the town hall, from the library, from the tourist information or directly from NaNo – Nachhaltiges Norderstedt [sustainable Norderstedt].

A special feature of the map is the network of clever, car-free short cuts. These routes are labelled with a fox’s head. Away from the main roads and often through nature, these paths offer attractive short cuts for when you are travelling on foot or by bike.
